LODIUM

Following on from my research on the notion of joy in 2019, where I defined it as a vital force capable of overcoming crises, I wanted to explore its application in a field where it is rarely highlighted: the hospital environment.

I designed an object for patients suffering from motor disorders in the re-education, rehabilitation and follow-up care department. The aim was to get these patients active, by encouraging the emergence of joy through the quest for autonomy. Lodium is designed to encourage improvement in physical abilities, by providing a tangible means of demonstrating progress.
